Born in Cagliari on 28 march 1970.
He studied composition, piano and percussion at the Conservatoire "Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina" in Cagliari, where in 1993 he got his diploma in violin under the supervision of maestro Alessandro Moccia.
He has attended several post graduate courses with violinists Alexander Barantschick, Felice Cusano, Alessandro Moccia, David Takeno, Eugenia Chugayeva and with the conductors Sir Colin Davis and Jesús López-Cobos.
In 1995 he attended a post graduate course in violin and orchestra conducting at the "Guildhall School of Music and Drama" in London, with Krysia Osostowicz and maestro Alan Hazeldine.
Under the supervision of prestigious musicians such as Elder, Abbado, Rostropovich, Solti, Davis, Menuhin he plays in several English orchestras like the "Young Musician Symphony Orchestra" and the "Guildhall Symphony Orchestra".
Since his studies at the Conservatoire in Italy he has carried out an intense concert activity as a violinist in several nations among which Italy, Spain, France, England, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Hungary, Chorea and Japan.
In the year 2000 he started a professional career as a conductor.
In 2001 he conducted the "London Symphony Orchestra" in a concert at the "Barbican Hall" in London during a Conducting Master Class held by Sir Colin Davis.
In 2004 he made a recording with the "London Symphony Orchestra" at the "Abbey Road Studios" in London.
This important event has marked his debut in the record industry and will been signed by ASV record label.
The first complete orchestral version of Charles Tomlinson Griffes' "Roman Sketches" and the piece "Symphonysche Serenade" by Erich Wolfgang Korngold appear in the recording.
Simone's repertoire ranges from the baroque to the late romantic.
